Resources investments are being encouraged in the Northern Territory today, in an attempt to ‘further secure’ the territory’s place as a ‘gas capital’.
Chief Minister Paul Henderson has explained his commitment to attracting new investment at the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) conference held today.
"We are committed to attracting new investment to help grow the Territory and bring world class jobs to Territorians,” said Mr Henderson.
"We have unique business opportunities on offer for new investors including our Marine Supply Base dedicated to supporting the supply and service of gas industry.
"We will also make sure new investors know the capabilities and capacities of our local Territory businesses which are gearing up for growth to capitalise on business new investment brings,” he said.
The APPEA is the largest conference in the industry within the Southern Hemisphere, and includes 2,600 delegates from major worldwide bodies.
