Sydney’s harbourfront attracts global attention

Sydney’s New Year’s Eve fireworks and the exciting, event-filled month of January focuses people’s attention on prestige harbourfront apartments, according to the principal of one high-end real estate agencies.

Richard Shalhoub, principal for the CBD and Pyrmont at Sydney Sotheby’s International Realty says interest in prestige Sydney harbourfront apartments tends to increase in summer.

“The thought of being front and centre for Sydney’s iconic fireworks show is a drawcard for many buyers, even if they won’t be in their homes until the following New Year’s Eve,” he said.

“Prestige apartments in precincts such as Circular Quay, Hyde Park, Walsh Bay, The Rocks, Millers Point and Pyrmont become enticing to buyers who want to experience everything Sydney offers.”

Mr Shalhoub said these precincts offer “very convenient” access to lifestyle attractions such as The Botanical Gardens, Sydney Festival events, and day trips to the beach on the Manly ferry.

Sydney’s New Year’s Eve fireworks will be live-streamed on Facebook for the first time this year, which will attract a huge audience from around the world.
