New data has revealed the suburbs with the highest number of property transactions.
Point Cook in Melbourne had 1,015 house sales for the year to July, according to CoreLogic RP Data.
Melbourne’s other leading suburbs were Pakenham with 946, Berwick with 825, Craigieburn with 752 and Frankston with 695.
Sydney’s leading markets were Blacktown with 543 house sales, Kellyville with 512, Castle Hill with 497, Glenmore Park with 478 and Baulkham Hills with 418.
In Brisbane, North Lakes led the way with 481 house sales, followed by Forest Lake on 460, MorayfieldMorayfield, QLD Morayfield, QLD on 373, Deception Bay on 370 and Kallangur on 367.
PerthPerth, TAS Perth, WA came fourth in the ranking, with Canning Vale on 469 house sales, Ellenbrook on 462, Morley on 408, Balga on 388 and Thornlie on 382.
Adelaide’s top five suburbs for house sales were Morphett Vale with 433, Aldinga Beach with 257, Parafield Gardens with 251, Mawson Lakes with 240 and Paralowie with 232.
Hobart’s leading markets were KingstonKingston, QLD Kingston, ACT Kingston, TAS with 167 sales, Sandy Bay with 161, Howrah with 142, Blackmans Bay with 126 and Glenorchy with 112.
In Canberra, Kambah led the way with 155 sales, followed by Casey on 143, Ngunnawal on 140, MacgregorMacgregor, ACT Macgregor, QLD on 104 and Bonner on 99.
Darwin was Australia’s least active market, with 142 house sales in Johnston, 71 in Bellamack, 63 in Gunn, 60 in RoseberyRosebery, TAS Rosebery, NT Rosebery, NSW and 59 Zuccoli.
