Investors and home buyers embrace new apps

By webmaster

Australian property investors and home buyers are increasingly using smart phones as part of their house hunting strategies.

Domain.com.au’s iPhone app has now had more than 400,000 downloads since its launch, the real estate portal said today, making it the most downloaded property app on the Australian market.

The real estate portal launched its third mobile application today for Android users, following its iPhone app launch and app for Windows Phone 7.

"For Australians, it's the survival of the fastest and most organised when it comes to searching to buy, rent or invest in property and the new Domain.com.au Android app gives consumers a real edge," Nic Cola, CEO of Marketplaces said.

Among other things, the new app offers property searchers the ability to save listings as favourites, sync with their Domain.com.au account, plan for inspections and view recently sold properties.
