The latest coronavirus restrictions placed on South Australia will have broad ramifications for many industries and businesses within the state, with many closing immediately, others operating in a limited capacity and limits placed on gathering sizes.
“South Australia will pause, and people will need to remain at home for the next six days” reads the state government’s statement.
According to the notice, the “circuit breaker” style shutdown will begin at 12:01am Thursday, 19 November and continue for six days in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Open inspections, appraisals and auctions are all affected by the outage, while holiday homes are also to be closed over the period.
According to the state government, official directions will be published with instructions provided in further detail later in the day (18/11) as the situation progresses.
The South Australian Government is urging all individuals to “please remain calm and be patient while we work together to get this information out to the community of South Australia”.
According to a statement from Ray White South Australia, virtual appraisals and online auctions will not be affected by the shutdown.
