Mr Hansen and his wife Tash have listed their Canterbury, New Zealand, five-bedroom lifestyle property with Ray White Town and Lifestyle.

The luxury stone and linea house on the outskirts of Christchurch is being marketed as the answer for those looking for a real New Zealand lifestyle change.

The sale of the home will mark a new chapter for Mr Hansen’s life.

“We’ve loved everything about our beautiful home over the last four years; however, we’re now preparing for the next phase of our lives after rugby. It’s as simple as that,” Mr Hansen said.

Mr Hansen has been a local brand ambassador for Ray White since 2016, and the team is excited to market the Hansen family home, Ray White New Zealand chief executive Carey Smith said.

Emma Langton-George is one of the agents listing the property, and she said it offers exceptional quality and meticulous design.

“[The location] is sought after by people who are looking for a lifestyle that’s close to the city yet far enough away to switch off and relax,” she said.

The Hansen family home won the 2016 New Zealand Master Builder of the Year Gold Award for excellence in workmanship, creativity and innovation for a new home over $2 million.

The property will head to auction on 1 November.
