What Australia’s favourite summer sport can teach you about property investing

03 FEB 2022 By Robyn Tongol 1 min read Investor Strategy

Property investing is a little like cricket. If you start in your 20s, you’re playing a test match – you can take your time. If you start in your 50s, that’s Big Bash, and your strategy and skills might need to be substantially different.

Paul Glossop 2020 web

In this episode, Smart Property Investment’s Phil Tarrant sits down with Paul Glossop, director of Pure Property Investment, to discuss the patience that’s needed in your property investment journey and the lessons that can be learned about that virtue from Australia’s favourite summer sport.

The duo also make some projections for the year ahead, tackling the two major issues of supply and the rising cost of building or renovating due to supply chain issues. Paul shares some of the questions potential renovators might have right now in the face of elongating time frames and increasingly more expensive resources.

They also look at how the rental market is expected to perform in the year ahead, with the pair predicting good news for investors.
