North Strathfield, located approximately 13.4 kilometres west of Sydney's central business district, is a suburb within the City of Canada Bay. It is bordered by Concord to the east, Homebush to the west, and Concord West to the north.
The North Strathfield railway station, established in 1918 and named for its proximity to Strathfield, gave the suburb its name. Historically, the area was part of Homebush and Concord before being designated as North Strathfield in 1993. The suburb has undergone significant transformation from its industrial roots, notably with the redevelopment of the former Arnott's Biscuits factory into the Bakehouse Quarter, a commercial and retail precinct.
