Fairfield East is located approximately 27 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, situated within the City of Fairfield in Greater Western Sydney.
The suburb spans approximately 4.4 square kilometres, with around 25 per cent of that occupied by light industrial zones, while the remainder supports residential dwellings and small commercial precincts.
At the 2021 Census, Fairfield East recorded a population of 5,198, a modest increase from earlier counts, reflecting steady growth.
The community exhibits notable cultural diversity, with 39 per cent of residents born in Australia. Significant ancestries include Vietnamese (19 per cent), Iraqi (7 per cent), and Lebanese or Chinese, and many households speak Vietnamese, Arabic, or Cantonese at home.
