Households are predominantly composed of couples with children, with around 70 per cent owner-occupied dwellings.

Public transport options remain limited; the suburb lacks a train station, and residents rely mainly on bus services—such as route 477—to link with nearby train stations for commuting, with a typical journey to the CBD taking around 44 minutes by bus and train. 

Essential local amenities are found along the major thoroughfare of Rocky Point Road and nearby streets, hosting shops, cafés, schools and childcare centres. At the same time, the community’s semi-suburban layout blends low-rise housing—including older residences and newer, larger homes—within a quiet coastal setting.
