It sits on the southern shore of the Georges River, linked to Sans Souci in the north by the Captain Cook Bridge. Caringbah lies to the south and Sylvania Waters to the west, with the suburb’s location giving it both residential areas and a strong commercial and industrial presence.

English is the primary language spoken at home, with Greek, Arabic and Italian also represented. The demographic includes families and older residents, alongside some younger households.
