Wadalba (postcode 2259) is a suburb in the Central Coast region of New South Wales, located about 6 kilometres north-east of Wyong’s town centre. The suburb is located approximately 94 kilometres by road from Sydney’s central business district, with a driving time of around 1 hour and 15 minutes under normal conditions.
According to the 2021 Census, Wadalba had 3,969 residents (in the statistical area SAL14098). Earlier, in 2016, the population was 2,831, indicating growth over that period. The median personal income was about $805 per week, and the median household income was about $1,942 per week.
Most dwellings are separate houses (94.3%), and many households own their homes (either outright or with a mortgage), with approximately 39.3% renting. In terms of cultural background, about 78.5 per cent of residents were Australian-born, and 83.6 per cent of households spoke English only at home. Religious affiliation is varied, with approximately 39.2 per cent declaring “No Religion,” 24.8 per cent identifying as Catholic, and 14.1 per cent as Anglican.
Public transport to and from Wadalba is served by several bus routes, including 79, 80 and 81, which stop on Johns Road and surrounding streets. The nearest train station is Wyong Station on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line, which is within walking or short driving distance.
