Maryland is a residential suburb in the City of Newcastle, NSW, with postcode 2287, situated in Newcastle’s western suburbs between Fletcher, Wallsend, Shortland and Minmi.

The suburb is about 12 kilometres north-west of Newcastle’s central business district, with Minmi Road and surrounding arterial roads providing connections towards central Newcastle and the M1 Pacific Motorway.
