Corinda is a well-established suburb within Brisbane, located approximately 12.8 kilometres southwest of Brisbane's central business district. 

According to the 2021 census, Corinda has a population of 5,555. The median age is 39, slightly above the national median. A significant majority, 71.8%, of residents were born in Australia, with notable communities from England and New Zealand. English is the predominant language spoken by 82.9% of the population. 

The Corinda railway station also serves public transport, offering regular services to Brisbane CBD and surrounding suburbs. Bus services also provide connectivity within the suburb and to neighbouring areas. 

Essential establishments in Corinda include a public library operated by the Brisbane City Council on Oxley Road. The suburb also features the Dunlop Park Memorial Swimming Pool, a 50-metre heated outdoor facility on Oxley Road. Educational institutions cater to various educational needs, including Corinda State School, Corinda State High School, and St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School. 

Two main parks within the suburb support recreational activities. One is a forest reserve along the Brisbane River, including Carrington Rocks and the Carrington Boat Club. Another park is on the floodplain of Oxley Creek, near the Bowls Club and state school. The historic Francis Lookout Reserve also hosts local events, such as Carols by Candlelight, organised by various community groups.
