The suburb is culturally diverse, with 50.3% of residents born in Australia, followed by New Zealand (9.6%), Burma (3.2%), England (2.5%), and Samoa (2.5%). English is the predominant language spoken at home (59.7%), with other languages including Samoan (5.4%), Karen (1.6%), and Burmese (1.3%). 

Logan Central hosts several educational institutions. Wembley Road, located at 133 Wembley Road, has 751 students enrolled in special education and intensive English language programs. Woodridge State High School is a government secondary school (7-12) on the road. In 2018, it had 1,327 students enrolled and includes a special education program. Logan City Special School provides primary and secondary education for students with special needs. The school has 171 students enrolled.

Logan Central is the administrative centre of Logan City. It houses the Logan City Council offices, the Logan Art Gallery, a public library, and a police station. The Logan Art Gallery, opened in 1995, showcases local and visiting exhibitions. The Logan Central Library, located at 26 Wilbur Street, provides a range of services to the community. Additionally, Logan Gardens offers recreational facilities, including playgrounds and pathways, and was the site for the Olympic Torch Relay in 2000.

Logan Central is well-serviced by public transport. The Woodridge railway station provides access to Brisbane and surrounding areas, and several bus routes also operate through the suburb, enhancing connectivity for residents.
