Ormiston is a coastal suburb in Redland, Queensland, Australia. It is approximately 28.3 kilometres east-southeast of Brisbane's central business district. As of the 2021 census, it had 6,379 residents. 

Ormiston offers a pleasant, unhurried lifestyle with tree-lined streets and ample open spaces. The suburb is adjacent to Cleveland and Wellington Point, with the Cleveland railway line bisecting its southern half. The area features parks, sporting fields, and access to Moreton Bay, providing opportunities for outdoor activities. 

A notable landmark is Ormiston House, built between 1858 and 1865 by Captain Louis Hope, a founder of Queensland's sugar industry. This heritage-listed estate is one of Queensland's finest examples of colonial architecture and is open to visitors for tours and events. 

Ormiston State School, established in 1872, provides primary education and includes a special education program. Ormiston College, a private institution founded in 1988, offers education from Prep to Year 12. The nearest government secondary school is Cleveland District State High School in the neighbouring suburb of Cleveland. 

Ormiston railway station on the Cleveland line provides residents access to Brisbane's CBD and surrounding areas. Additionally, Transdev Queensland operates regular bus services throughout the suburb. 

While Ormiston has a local shopping centre at 116 Wellington Street, major shopping options are available near Cleveland and Alexandra Hills. The suburb also hosts various sporting clubs, including the Ormiston Redbacks Swim Club and the Redlands Softball Association.
