Camperdown is a regional town in south-west Victoria within Corangamite Shire, located about 195 kilometres south-west of Melbourne and approximately 40 kilometres east of Warrnambool. The town sits on the Princes Highway and serves as a service centre for the surrounding agricultural districts.

The 2021 Census recorded a population of 3,369 people.

Camperdown developed during the 19th-century pastoral expansion of Victoria’s Western District and retains a strong connection to dairy farming, grazing and agricultural services. Healthcare, retail trade and education also contribute to local employment.
