Mundijong is a semi-rural locality situated approximately 41 kilometres south-southeast of Perth’s central business district. Located within the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale, the suburb covers an area of about 18.4 square kilometres. Known initially as Jarrahdale Junction, it was renamed Mundijong in 1897.

According to the 2021 Census, Mundijong had a population of 2,284 residents. The community is predominantly Australian-born, with 94% identifying as non-Indigenous and 2.1% as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
