Success is a suburb located approximately 24 kilometres south of Perth's central business district, within the City of Cockburn. The area spans 6.1 square kilometres and is bounded by Beeliar Drive to the north, Kwinana Freeway to the east, and Russell Road to the south. Urban development commenced in the early 1990s following the extension of the Kwinana Freeway. The suburb's name originates from Captain James Stirling's ship, HMS Success.

According to the 2021 Census, Success had a population of 10,148 residents. The median age was 33 years, indicating a relatively young demographic. Households had a median weekly income of \$2,155, with a significant proportion of residents employed full-time.
