Pick your night – Movies, restaurants and even sports centres often have cheaper nights. Factor in events around discounted evening and save.

Fee free – Keep an eye on your local paper for free activities and festivals, there’s plenty of opportunities to have fun without having to spend a cent.

Have a games night – Instead of hitting the pub, host your own trivia or board game night.

Swap DVDs – If you’ve seen your own movies a million times organise to swap with friends or family. Just be sure to label yours clearly if you want them back!
