Best unit rents revealed
An analysis by RP Data has identified the 10 suburbs around Australia with the highest median rents for units.
While the eight of the country’s high-rent suburbs were found in Sydney, the top spot was taken out by an area in Perth.

North Fremantle in Perth’s south-west attracts a median weekly rent of $750 per week for units or apartments.
Burswood on the Swan River also bring in high returns, with unit rents at a median of $695 per week.
Sydney’s waterfront, inner-city suburbs dominated the rest of the list.
In Milsons Point, on the north of the harbour, rents were as high as $740 per week.
Units in beachside Clovelly brought in $700 per week while units in harbour-side Balmain went for $680 per week.
Breakfast Point, Fairlight, Pyrmont, Double Bay and Bondi rounded out the list.
Each of these suburbs has a median rent above $650 per week.
