The auctioneer and head coach and trainer at Real Estate Gym will be sitting down with Phil Tarrant at 9:00am AEDT on a Facebook Live following on from the screening of the final episode of this year’s competition.

This year’s series of The Block has centred on the suburb of Hampton East in Melbourne, with five pairs from across the country battling it out for top honours over 12 weeks of captivating television.

With the auctions having taken place on Saturday, 4 November 2023, and the results being broadcast on Sunday, 5 November, time is ticking on this year’s production of the wildly popular property renovation show.

Returning for the third year in a row to host a televised auction for the series, this time on behalf of House 4’s Steph and Gian, Mr Panos has previously expressed the belief that the house had “an unfair advantage” compared to the houses being put up by the show’s other contestants.

House 4 is widely regarded as the pick of the bunch in this year’s show, with Mr Panos alluding to as much, stating:

“I would be very, very surprised if the market doesn’t see this as the best property,” he stated.

In a controversy-laden season, which saw friendships rise and fall and accusations of Channel 9 favouring certain couples flying around like dust in strong wind, Steph and Gian emerged as fan favourites owing to their humble demeanour and unproblematic behaviour.

Mr Panos will be hoping the pair’s home doesn’t replicate the path walked by last year’s heavy favourites, Tom and Sarah-Jane, whose Gisborne property sold for just $20,000 over a $4.080 million reserve price.

Price guides for all properties on this season of The Block sit between $2.2 million to $2.85 million, with Steph and Gian’s home actually at the lower end of the spectrum, with a price guide of $2.2 to $2.4 million.

But we all know a sale is only as strong as demand on the day.

So, be sure to tune in when Tom gives Phil a play-by-play day of the day’s proceedings, divulging some of the ins-and-outs of this year’s competition and giving a behind-the-scenes look at the strategies employed by the agents and auctioneers on the show.
