The BRW Fast Starters ranks the 100 fastest growing start-ups in Australia over the past four years.

Group publisher Alex Whitlock said that the achievement bore testament to the leading position Smart Property Investment's sister publication The Adviser had built within the mortgage and finance broking industry.

The Adviser includes a monthly print magazine, daily updated website, daily newsletter and web broadcasting.

“It is fantastic to receive this kind of recognition from BRW,” said Mr Whitlock. “Since we launched The Adviser, our first publication, in 2007 we’ve been committed to delivering news and intelligence via multiple channels and this has earned us a loyal industry following.”

In the first year that it was eligible for the ranking Sterling Publishing – the only publishing company in this year’s ranking – was placed 82nd.

The company also recorded outstanding growth of 116 per cent in FY 2009/10 according to the report.

In financial year 2010/11 Sterling Publishing launched a number of key products, including Smart Property Investment magazine, the Australian Lending Awards and the Australian Broking Awards.

May will also see the launch of the first monthly magazine for the real estate industry, titled Real Estate Business.

Mr Whitlock said he expected strong continued growth for Sterling Publishing.

“This is a time of considerable change and opportunity for publishers. What was effective a decade ago is in many ways no longer relevant in today’s market.

“But regardless of how it is distributed, content will always be king and we will continue to focus on delivering quality information to our readers.”
