Property purchase is significantly more taxing to would-be first-time property owners. However, the Buying with Confidence report aims to relieve these birthing pains and empower would-investors to grow their wealth by seeing past the myths surrounding investing.

Perceived hurdles can easily become overwhelming and discourage prospective buyers from realising their potential.

In fact, a handful of investors see insurmountable barriers to investing.

Forty-five per cent of Aussie investors shared they did not have enough deposit money, while 30 per cent did not know where or what property to purchase. The lack of capacity to meet their loan repayments was also a concern for one in five, and not knowing how the purchasing process works was an issue for one in 10.

While acknowledging these predicaments, many Aussies remain prospective investors, eyeing buyer’s agents to guide them through the process.

When asked about their main motivators for looking into using a buyer’s agent, the answers were diverse, but an encompassing theme emerged: buyer’s agents can point them in the right direction and make the journey significantly more stress-free.

The majority of future property owners shared that their reason for considering the services of buyer’s agents was mainly linked to making sure they made the right investment decision. Such was the shared sentiment of 65 per cent of all prospective investors.

The prospect of making the process smoother and easier closely follows, with 61 per cent selecting it as a motivator.

Notably, more than one in two additionally said that having someone to negotiate on their behalf and an expert to rely on overall were other strong reasons to tap the services of a buyer’s agent.

Thirty-eight per cent (38 per cent) also indicated that setting up a property investment strategy was what pushed them to consider a buyer’s agent.

Putting these numbers side-by-side with data on the core barriers preventing Aussies from investing elucidates an important point: the latter’s worries are easily manageable if only they have someone to help them navigate their investment journey and dispel the myths about the allegedly insurmountable hurdles to property investing.

Chances are, potential buyers just haven’t found the right property yet. Even likelier, they just need experts to help them find their footing in a cut-throat property investment landscape.

This is where buyer’s agents come in.

Buyer’s agencies like InvestorKit don’t only have a systematic record of assets on the market. They, too, have access to off-market properties, giving you the prospect of excellent deals that wouldn’t have otherwise shown up in your search.
