While many investors focus on acquiring assets, few think about what happens to their wealth when they’re no longer around, often resulting in a large portion of assets being lost to taxes or distributed against their wishes.

According to the KHI experts, a well-crafted estate plan includes a will, power of attorney, guardianship, and superannuation directives to ensure investors control their portfolio until the end.

Tyrone also suggests that investors involve their families in the process, which helps avoid future disputes and builds financial literacy in the next generation.

Although costs can range from $4,000 to $10,000, the KHI experts recommend that investors review their estate plans every two to three years or following major life changes to remain aligned with personal goals.
