National awards program to recognise Australia’s top buyer’s agents
With more and more buyer’s agents entering the Australian property market scene each year, REB and Smart Property Investment have launched the first ever Australian Buyers Agent Awards (ABAA), shining a spotlight on the talent, dedication, and innovation that often go unnoticed.
Across 26 categories, the awards recognise those who excel in sourcing, assessing, and securing properties, as well as in negotiating and delivering outstanding results for clients.
In total, buyer’s agents can submit across 26 categories, including 16 individual and 10 group categories.
The individual categories include Buyers Agent of the Year – Residential PPOR/ Commercial, Luxury & Prestige Buyers Agent of the Year, Due Diligence Specialist of the Year – Commercial, and Rising Star of the Year.
According to ABAA principal partner BuySecure, the inaugural Australian Buyers Agent Awards program celebrates Australia’s top buyer’s agents and offices – the professionals who guide and empower property buyers nationwide.
BuySecure founder Ian Perkins said buyer’s agents bring balance to a seller-driven process and have become one of real estate’s fastest-growing sectors as more Australians see the value of expert support when purchasing property.

More than an awards program, it puts a national spotlight on the people and offices raising the bar in expertise and service, shaping the future of property buying, with winners gaining REB coverage and shareable assets to boost their profile.
Companies will be recognised in group categories, including Buyers Agency of the Year PPOR/Residential Investment/Commercial, Start-Up Buyers Agency of the Year, and Diversified Buyers Agency of the Year.
Leadership and excellence will also be celebrated with three special awards, including Director/Executive of the Year, Professional Referral Network of the Year, and Social Impact & Community Contribution Award.
Submit an entry or nominate a colleague or business by Thursday, 26 February 2026, to be in the running for the inaugural awards program.
Designed to champion and elevate the buyer’s agency profession, the awards highlight those setting new benchmarks in client service, professionalism, and innovation, reflecting Momentum Media and its partners’ commitment to celebrating excellence across every corner of real estate.

The awards program will culminate in a black-tie gala ceremony on Thursday, 23 April 2026, at Doltone House, Hyde Park in Sydney.

You will be asked to answer four simple questions by recording yourself (either via an audio recording or by submitting a video) to our secure awards portal for the award categories you want to be considered for. This video can be done on your phone – no need for green screens or top-quality cameras!
All entrants will be asked to answer four questions – the questions will vary depending on the category selected for the submission.
All submissions are electronic and must be received through our secure awards platform by 5:30pm AEDT on Thursday, 26 February 2026.
