One of Australia’s top property sites has launched a new resource for renovation and design tips.<

Home Ideas, from REA Group’s realestate.com.au, allows users to seek inspiration from materials and styles in a range of photos.

“With 63% of renovators seeking both inspiration and education when researching their renovations, Home Ideas makes that search process more enjoyable whilst also providing helpful search categories,” REA Group chief product officer Henry Ruiz said.

For investors, this is yet another source of research and self-education when renovating to increase rental yield and asking price.

The new resource includes images that are searchable by space, style, key features and building materials.

Renovation information is also available about landscaping and front facades.

Sixty-two per cent of the population did some form of renovation in the past year, and a further 49 per cent are likely to undertake renovation in the next year.
