Google tool to help find hotspots
A new tool from Google is set to help investors choose the best property in Sydney, through an addition to the existing Google Maps.
Investors looking towards properties across greater metropolitan Sydney will now be able to see how accessible an area is to public transport.
As previously reported, an area's ‘walkability’ to transport and facilities has a direct impact on price and attractiveness to tenants.
The weekly updated Google tool will be a great benefit to those in Sydney, said Google Australia engineering director Alan Noble.
"This is an important addition to Google Maps as our goal is to give people as much information as possible on how to get to their destination,” Mr Noble said.
Other potential data is also in the pipeline, with suggestions that future projects may include the locations of car parks, as well as real-time updates.
