Building Concept Centre opens in major city

Investors looking to build or renovate can now visit one of Australia’s largest building concept centres in Melbourne.

The Designer Homes Concept Centre in Braeside has been dubbed a ‘one stop shop’ and includes full scale house facades as well as up to 90 home builders, suppliers and service providers.

Victorian Planning Minister Matthew Guy said the centre is an example of how healthy competition in the building sector can keep house prices in check, deliver diversity of housing choice and housing affordability.

“The centre’s location in one of Melbourne’s growth corridors will enable people who are building or renovating their home to compare costs and services from a range of competing businesses at the one site, rather than making multiple trips to multiple builders and suppliers across town.

“Our population is changing and it is increasingly important to provide flexibility and choice on home types that suit a range of budgets, particularly to cater for the growth in single person households and our ageing population,” Mr Guy said.

The centre offers homes priced from $180,000 up to $600,000, as well as services from landscapers, interior designers and decorators, energy and sustainability experts and financial planners.
