Bernard Salt to presesent Townsville's growth outlook

With Townsville’s city centre population set to more than double over the next two decades, leading demographer Bernard Salt will present his outlook for the region's growth and opportunities in the city on Tuesday, April 16.

Having already completed his second report on Townsville in three years, Mr Salt will provide commentary on the region’s demographic and social future, and present his predictions on the city's future potential and direction.

Honeycombes Property Group’s Peter Honeycombe said there has already been significant interest in the revitalised city centre and the recently redeveloped Flinders Street precinct.

He expects the population influx in the city to drive further demand for more specific precincts for living, shopping, dining and entertainment.

“The last two years has seen significant interest return to the Townsville CBD and we are excited to hear the findings of his new report,” Mr Honeycombe said.

“Mr Salt’s presentation is a great opportunity for stakeholders to learn more about where our vibrant and promising city is heading and what its needs will be.”
