Market flat but online browsing soars

Despite a widely reported slump in the property market Fairfax Media’s real estate site (Domain) has recorded its best ever month.

During May an additional half a million browsers visited its site resulting in a total of more than 3.8 million browsers, the highest figure since the site launched in 1999.

Domain has continued to develop momentum in the real estate website market, following the launch of its three mobile apps, Fairfax Media key categories general manager Tony Blamey said.

“The mobile industry is changing at a rapid pace,” he said.

“Domain is at the cutting edge of technology. We will continue to utilise the enormous benefits associated with this website to extend our reach and capture new customers.”
