The outstanding success of Smart Property Investment has helped Sterling Publishing secure the prestigious accolade of Small Publisher of the Year at the Publishers Australia Excellence Awards.

More than 500 professionals from across the publishing industry gathered for the 15th annual awards, hosted at Doltone House on Friday.

This prestigious event attracted over 300 entries and some of the biggest brands in publishing. Other award winners included titles such as GQ magazine, marie claire, Vogue, madison, Wheels and FourFourTwo.

Publisher of Smart Property Investment Russell Stephenson said that being recognised by the publishing industry’s peak body bears testament to the dedication of the Smart Property Investment team during the launch of the publication over the past year.

“We have seen the magazine go from strength to strength and there are few journalists in the business that compare with the Smart Property Investment team.

Smart Property Investment is still a relatively young title and I believe it is our fresh approach to publishing that has been so successful.

“Our focus on the print magazine as well as our online presence has opened up a host of new channels to our readers and I’m looking forward to developing this further with our new iPad app,” Mr Stephenson said.
