Isabella Plains is a suburb in the Tuggeranong district of Canberra, bounded by the Isabella Drive to its north, Drakeford Drive to its west, Johnson Drive to its south and Ashley Drive to its east. The suburb is situated beside the suburbs of Monash, Bonython, Richardson and Calwell.

Gazetted in 1975, the suburb was named after the daughter of Sir Thomas Brisbane, Brisbane’s namesake and governor of NSW from 1921 to 1925. Australian explorers Captain Mark Currie, Major John Ovens and Joseph Wild, tasked to search for a robust, grazing land and expand living areas, discovered the area during an expedition.
