Inala has emerged as a Brisbane growth pocket to watch, with strong recent price gains, accessible housing, and new development strengthening its prospects for investors.

While Inala has been historically overlooked, the market is now benefiting from Brisbane's continued south-west expansion, with strong recent growth and a relatively accessible price point drawing attention.

The suburb has been selected for SPI’s FAST 50 report, which identifies 50 Australian suburbs tipped for growth over the next 12 months using a combination of property data and investor insight.

Long established as a residential community, Inala offers a practical mix of schools, shopping, public transport, parks and recreational facilities, supporting demand from families, first-home buyers and investors.

Its location within Brisbane’s south-west also provides access to employment and major transport links, while established housing remains the dominant property type.

That established market is being complemented by new development, with approved residential projects adding housing across Inala and the surrounding area.

Infrastructure upgrades are also moving forward, including improvements to the Archerfield Road, Azalea Street and Pine Road intersection, which will improve traffic flow, pedestrian connectivity and safety between Inala and Richlands.

The local market has already produced strong results, with Inala recording a median price of $805,000 and 12-month growth of 15 per cent.

Rental demand has also remained steady, with a median weekly rent of $540 delivering a gross rental yield of 3.5 per cent.

For investors, Inala offers exposure to an established Brisbane market where strong recent price growth is being accompanied by further residential development and infrastructure investment.

Its combination of price growth, rental demand and proximity to the city gives the suburb a broader growth story beyond its recent performance.
