No downturn: Tasmania’s property market bucks the trend as investors return
Tight supply, rising values, and active investment strategies are putting Tasmania back on investors’ radar.
On The Smart Property Investment Show, Phil Tarrant is joined by Bobby Haeri, founder of Acquisition House, to discuss Tasmania’s resurgence and what it could mean for investors.
Over the last couple of months, Tasmania’s property market has been showing signs of a comeback, with rising values, tight supply, and stronger investor demand creating opportunities as other markets lose momentum.
The pair look at the supply shortage driving competition, with first home buyers and investors returning to the market and multiple offers becoming increasingly common across some areas.
They also examine what buyer’s agents are seeing on the ground, from agents calling with off-market opportunities to early signs that market conditions may be turning, while warning investors not to overpay for the promise of an exclusive deal.
The conversation then turns to active investment strategies, including adding granny flats to suitable properties to boost rental income and value, and why investors may need to do more than simply wait for the market to rise.
