New report finds a place for every kind of investor
A new report has shown where the best properties are for families and singles, as well as the most quiet and vibrant suburbs around the country, which show how investors need to employ different tactics depending on the area.
Amounting from more than 50,000 suburb reviews over 6,000 suburbs, the report from Rent.com.au has calculated the best suburbs for family living as well as singles, which Rent.com.au CEO Greg Bader says there are two completely different household structures that investors should be considering when thinking of buying.
“What’s interesting is out of all the categories you would have, there are two sets that are naturally contrasting. For example, do I think my best suburb’s best suited for families or do I think my suburb’s best suited for single people?” he said.
From these categorisations, then comes the focus down to quiet and vibrant lifestyles.
Two standout areas, according to the report, are Wahroonga in NSW and Fitzroy in Victoria.
Wahroonga was ranked first in NSW for being family-friendly, due to being situated half-an-hour from the CBD as well as having amenities close by.
“Its broad range of amenities and leafy outlook have made it just as popular with growing broods as it is with singles. The suburb’s beautiful parklands make it an ideal place to settle down with a family, partner or solo,” Rent.com.au stated.
Meanwhile, the Victorian suburb Fitzroy was ranked number one for vibrant suburbs.
“Today, Fitzroy attracts a diverse and artsy community to its hubs and public gardens. Café culture reigns supreme and is a beacon for independent renters seeking a dash of bohemian mixed with beer halls,” said the report.
